Information on Photography Basics (Part 1)
If you love photography, learn how to take great photos. If you wish to enhance your photography skills and prepared to shoot great pictures, then you're in the right place. This article offers you hints and tips that could give your photos the polished look of an expert. If you enjoy taking pictures, then learning new photography skills is something you are likely to be enthusiastic about.
When shooting landscape pictures, develop depth in your shots. By placing the subject in the foreground of your photo, you will provide the viewer with a sense of balance. Try to minimize the appearance of skies in your picture if it is overcast. Too much grey skies showing in a photograph makes it look washed-out and muted. Pictures in black and white are much better if shot under overcast skies. If it's a bright day, then you need to incorporate the skies rather more.
Natural lighting can play a significant role in your photographs so take note of what is happening. Some would believe that taking pictures when it is sunny will result in exceptional pictures, but sunlight can ruin the quality of an image. This not only induces glares and shadows in your pictures, but it also casts uneven highlights and can also make it hard for your subject to keep a relaxed face. So, it is better to pick time early in the morning or later in the evening when taking pictures outside. Also, consider a position where your subject has the sun shining on them from the side.

If you are new to photography, then you would have probably learned about the concept known as ‘bokeh’ quite recently. Bokeh comes from the Japanese word 'boke' which means blur or haze or a blurry quality. Having the background slightly blurred, when shooting a live subject, can enhance your photograph. If your background isn't blurred, it may draw the viewer's attention on the background and off from the subject. The most common technique to achieve bokeh is to incorporate shallow depth of field created through a lens wide open.
Make sure you have a memory card large enough to store all your photos. If you have a large enough memory card, then you can take as many pictures as you need without worrying about whether or not you will have enough room to store pictures. If you shoot RAW, then you can store more pictures in a large memory card. It is always advisable to have spare memory cards available for you as well.
Read the manual that comes with your camera until you genuinely believe that you have a command on all the settings. Manuals might appear complicated and dull and are usually thrown away or stored somewhere and forgotten. Instead of losing it, take some time to read your manual. Doing this can drastically enhance your pictures and solve the common problems and questions that come up.
